They say you can’t fit a square peg in a round hole, but boy does she try. English born, Aussie bred Tamara Linke has turned her hand at most things voice related from rock bands to radio announcing, classical to cabaret, as well as TV adverts, opera and theatre.
Having studied classical voice performance at the Elder Conservatorium of Adelaide, it was only natural to base a career from her vocal stylings. Most notably she’s sung back up for Michael Buble on his Mr. Irresponsible tour, appeared in her own cabaret production (The Vox Trust) for the Adelaide and Melbourne Fringe and appeared on stage in Copenhagen in Michael Simpson’s ‘The Dining Room’. Tamara has also announced on radio for Nova 919 weekend breakfast and Adelaide’s Fresh 92.7. Preferring to be in front of the mic instead of behind it, she went on to perform lead vocals in local Adelaide band The Vanity Cure.Alongside her voice acting she’s in the midst of producing and writing a comedy musical to be debuted in 2019.
With a penchant for accents, song writing and news reader imitations, a voice over career was inevitable. Tamara has worked in the voice booth for 10 years collaborating in an industry she loves and never has to dress up for. With clientele, locally, nationally and abroad, she dishes out the voice tracks from her home studio or steps into a studio every now and then for some human contact.
FUN FACTS: Tamara speaks Japanese and Danish, was once a high jump under 14 state champion, is a hopeless vegan and is married to a German magician.
